Founded in 1986, Yolkowski Monuments designs, manufacturers, installs and restores timeless memorials that honour the lives of loved ones. Our journey began with a commitment to quality and a passion for artistry, which continues to guide us today. Over the decades, we have grown from a small workshop started by Mike Yolkowski and his parents Tom and Rita Yolkowski, into a renowned provider of custom monuments serving families across Ontario with compassion and ability.

In March of 2022, Kevin and Tammy Johnston purchased Yolkowski Monuments from Mike Yolkowski. Mike had decided it was time for him to retire and enjoy some well-deserved time off but with the monument business deep in his blood he could not stay away. Mike continues to be an integral part of our sales team.

Fresh out of high school and eager to learn, Kevin took a job in 1985 with a large Toronto based monument company. There he learned everything he could about the industry, and, in 1995, went out on his own. Once on his own Kevin started doing onsite engraving and grew to owning and operating Yolkowski Monuments with his wife Tammy.

Our team of skilled artisans and designers work meticulously to create unique and meaningful tributes that stand the test of time. We believe that every monument should tell a story, capturing the essence of the individual it commemorates. Mike Yolkowski has said “Each monument tells a story; I call myself a recorder of history.” This belief is at the heart of everything we do today, from the first consultation to the final installation.
